What is the purpose of this notice?
We collect certain information about you in the course of operating our club. This notice sets out details of the information that we collect, how we process it, to whom we disclose it, and your rights under data protection law in relation to our processing of your data.
Who controls the use of your personal data?
The Officers, the Committee, of Tipperary Lawn Tennis Club (TLTC) and sub-Committees control what data is collected and processed in connection with the running of the Club. What personal data is collected?
In order to provide relevant information to our members we need to process certain personal data in relation to you, which includes:
  • Title
  • Name
  • Address
  • Email address (only when you have shared it with us directly)
  • Mobile phone number (only where you have shared it with us directly)
  • From where do we collect personal data?
    Most of the personal data that we collect about you will be provided by you directly to other Club members or through our application forms.
    Why do you process my personal data?
    We process your personal data in order to help with the operation of our club.
    Disclosure
    We may disclose data about you to organisations involved in the running of tennis to the extent that they need to have it for that purpose or to fulfil regulatory requirements. We will not disclose data we hold about you to third parties or organisations to facilitate marketing.
    Important information about your consent to the processing of your personal data.
    In order to process certain personal data in relation to you, we need to have your consent. When we process your personal data on the basis of your consent, you are free to withdraw that consent at any time. You can withdraw your consent by contacting us using the contact details at the bottom of this notice. Please note that if you withdraw your consent it may not be possible for you to participate in the activities of the Club as contact and social interaction are central to the purpose of the Club. Unless and until we hear from you to the contrary we will take it that you consent to the Club continuing to process and hold the data it has relating to you.

    Retention of personal data.
    We will retain your personal data in accordance with our record retention policies. This means that the retention period for your personal data will vary depending on the type of personal data.
