2010 Christmas Floral Demo
|21/Dec/2010||(No Expiry Date)||Isn't it heartening to find, at the end of a seismic week in the political and economic landscaping of our country, the ladies of Tipperary, in a defiant spirit of positivism and optimism, came out in large number to the County Tennis Club on Friday, where they were delighted and entertained by the talented and well known local Floral Artist, Theresa Collins A.O.I.F.A..|
The evening was formally opened by club president, Paddy Connery. "Christmas Tidings" was the theme for Theresa's demonstration as she took her enthralled audience through Swags and Wreaths, Sleighs and Snowmen, Robins and Santas, and the Blessings Bunch.
The scene had been set by Patricia and Joe Buckley, of "Joe's Garden Centre", who transformed the tennis club into a veritable Winter Wonderland, with their potted trees and festive lights. The lovely ladies chatted and cheered during a truly happy, pleasant and uplifting evening!
After the obligatory 'cuppa' - for which the County is famous - the beautiful flower arrangements were raffled!
The lucky winners were, Frances Quinlan, Anne Wilkinson, Margaret Kingston, Mary O'Regan, Helen Noonan, Sheila Lowry, Ursula O'Donovan, Geraldine Hughes, Margaret Ryan, Eddie Fitzgerald and Kay Heffernan.
Helen Kennedy was the lucky winner of a beautiful Irishmade Necklace, which was kindly presented by Marianne Rafferty from her exciting new business entitled, "Tipperary Showcase".
Congratulations to the organizers, Josephine Kelly, Norrie Mullins, Ursula Flynn, Eddie Fitzgerald, David Mullins, Jacinta Coman, and their wonderful team!
In the true Tipperary Spirit of, Tipperary to lead and the Nation shall follow, the Tipperary ladies concluded that it's never too early to wish one and all, a very happy Christmas!
