Club Facilities

    The club offers a very modern and professional amenity to members together with the almost unique experience (for Ireland) of playing on the red clay more associated with the continent and specifically the French Open. The club is probably the only one of it’s kind in Ireland in that all heating and hot water requirements of the clubhouse are provided by sustainable means via an Air to Water Heat Pump and Solar Collectors. The club facilities are fully wheelchair accessable.

    Members use the facilities regularly for private functions and parties. Members who wish to use the facilities for private events should contact the club officially throught the Hon. Secretary.

    Along with regular Tennis, Mini Tennis is also provided for juniors.

    All courts are Floodlit and members pay a small fee for their use.

    Russell Pavillion

    (Constructed 1958)

    This is used by members for social events, tea mornings, meetings, cards etc. It is a simple historic, bright & airy structure with a commanding view of the courts. It has character!

    Clay Courts

    (Constructed 1949 to 1951)

    The courts are in red clay similar to that used in the French open. They are well maintained and offer a unique playing experience in Ireland. The courts are Floodlit.

    The County Bar

    (Constructed 2009)

    The county bar is again available for members events and is fully utilised by the members throughout the year. It offers a selection of drinks and coffees etc together with a large TV, spacious bar area and again a commanding view of the courts. It is a bright and airy place. It has electronic roof windows to maintain a controlled and fresh atmosphere all year around. It has disable access toilet facilities.

    Main Clubhouse

    (Constructed 1915)

    (Refurbished 2009)

    The main clubhouse is another historic structure but is updated to modern standards. It includes dressing rooms, showers and toilets together with the staff/tournament office. There is a historic Veranda for viewing the courts. All buildings on site are heated via an Air to Water Heat Pump.
